Kahalu'u is a very good snorkeling spot. It is
easy for beginners, while also being interesting
for more experienced snorkelers. There is a
variety of reef fish and occasionally turtles.
Please do not disturb the turtles. There is
parking, showers, and toilets.

Keauhou Shopping Center has a great grocery
store (KTA). If you like sashimi, pick up a block
of Ahi in the fish section. The KTA stocks a lot of
island-made meats, produce, bread, dairy,
salsas, and condiments.
There is an 8-theater cinema, and on Saturday
mornings there is a good Farmers' Market in
the parking lot in front of Longs.

local artists.
South of the condo are two important national parks.
South about 45 minutes is the Place of Refuge park, providing insight into ancient Hawaiian culture.

If you plan to go further south to the Volcanoes park, plan on a full-day trip, the road is good but not fast.
